Fushimi-juku (伏見宿 Fushimi-juku ) was the fiftieth of the sixty-nine stations of the Nakasendō. It is located in the present-day town of Mitake, Ena District, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
During the Edo period, as the nearby post towns, such as Mitake-juku and Ōta-juku, began to flourish, Fushimi-juku was built up to take part in the popular travel route.[1] However, because a national highway goes directly over the spot where the old post town was located, there are no traces of the old row houses that spanned approximately 600 m (1,969 ft).[1]
